Presentation of the Borjomi factory

The presentation of Element Construction’s three-year comprehensive project was held on September 12, 2025. In its 135th year of production, the Borjomi brand marked the milestone with the inauguration of its new factory.

In terms of scale and production capabilities, it is the largest enterprise in this sector in Georgia. At the initial stage, the plant’s annual capacity will reach 750 million bottles, with production expected to increase to 1 billion bottles by 2030.

Element Construction began working on the large-scale project in 2022, during which a production facility, an energy center, a warehouse, a logistics center, and an office building were constructed.

The first phase, carried out in 2022, involved the development of production and energy infrastructure. During this period, the company constructed Production Building No. 1, a water treatment facility, and an energy center. The scope of work included extensive demolition, the installation of reinforced concrete foundations and structural columns, the assembly of approximately 1,300 tons of steel structures, as well as the installation of sandwich panels covering 12,000 m² of roofing and 7,500 m² of walls. In addition, 12,000 m² of polished concrete industrial floors and polymer flooring systems were completed.

The second phase of the project, carried out from October 2023 to August 2025, encompassed the construction of new production and administrative buildings, the development of a finished goods warehouse, a water treatment unit, and supporting retaining walls. During this period, large-scale construction and installation works were carried out. Particular importance was attached to the processes related to the design, production, and installation of prefabricated steel structures. The work was distinguished by its complexity and scale, with 1,300 tons of steel structures installed within a few months and subsequently treated with fire-resistant coating.

In the second half of 2024, sandwich panels were installed across an area of 20,000 m², while waterproofing works were carried out on 5,000 m² of roofing. At the same time, 16,000 m² of concrete industrial flooring was completed, alongside the full execution of all major engineering systems. In line with international standards, comprehensive fit-out works were also undertaken for the buildings.

The plant has been built using energy-efficient materials and equipment, and every stage of production is organized to minimize environmental impact.
