Industrial Waste Management and Sustainable Solutions – “Element Construction” Experience on the Circular Economy Platform
On November 4, under the organization of the UN Global Compact Network Georgia, a discussion was held within the Circular Economy Action Platform on the topic of “Industrial Waste Management and Sustainable Solutions.”
During the meeting, participating companies shared their experiences in managing industrial waste and reducing environmental impact. The discussion aimed to strengthen private sector engagement in implementing the UN Sustainable Development Goal of “Responsible Consumption and Production.”
Alexander Okroshidze, General Director of Element Construction, spoke about modern approaches to industrial waste management and the company’s innovative practices in the production of reinforced concrete precast structures. According to him, Element Construction is actively implementing a closed-loop concrete production methodology, which significantly reduces both production waste and carbon emissions.
This sustainable production approach not only promotes environmentally friendly processes but also enhances energy and resource efficiency.
The discussion was conducted with financial support from Sweden, under the project “Leadership for Sustainable Development in Georgia,” aiming to promote circular economy principles within the private sector.
